Nanofics® - FILTRATION MEDIA - ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE THROUGH ULTRA-THIN FUNCTIONAL COATING

Industrial textiles are widely used in numerous filtration applications. Depending on the application, the filtration efficiency can be improved by making the filter medium more hydrophobic (water repellent), oleophobic (oil repellent) or hydrophilic (water absorbing).


Europlasma's durable and performant Nanofics® coatings are used to obtain permanent hydrophobic, oleophobic (from 3 to 8 on the 3M scale) or hydrophilic properties.

Medical - UNIQUE PRODUCTS THROUGH LOW PRESSURE PLASMA SURFACE ENGINEERING

Plasma activation is widely used to improve the wettability of medical plastics prior to gluing, printing or functional coating. With low pressure plasma technology the best possible adhesion can be achieved.

Plasma is also used for the fine cleaning of medical plastics and metals used in stents, implants and contact lenses.

Low pressure plasma technology is dry and clean and therefore fits very well in the clean room compatible production processes required for this industry.

Automotive - ADHESION PROMOTION ON COMPLEX SHAPED PLASTIC PARTS

Automotive parts are available in all types of materials and shapes, going from basic to very complex shapes. During the production of these parts, manufacturers often encounter adhesion-related hurdles such as during the gluing, painting, flocking or printing. Europlasma has developed a family of proprietary low pressure plasma based processes to improve the adhesion on fiber-reinforced plastics and other engineering plastics.

There is also growing interest to use Europlasma's Nanofics® technology in the automotive industry. Nanofics 10 has for instance potential to create anti-fogging effect, and Nanofics 120 or 110 are ideal candidates to improve the corrosion resistance of automotive electronics.

PCB - ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY CLEANING AND ETCHING OF HIGH END ELECTRONIC CIRCUITRY

Whether you seek a solution for cleaning and etching of contamination from the surface (desmear, descum, carbon removal) or for chemical activation (effective treatment of difficult materials, surface preparation prior to lamination) of the surface, we have a tailored plasma solution ready.


Europlasma has also developed several Nanofics® coating solutions that can be applied to both individual components and finished or unfinished PCB’s. The Nanofics 120 and 110 coatings are increasingly used as conformal coatings to protect PCB’s against corrosion from an aggressive environment.
